Through dedication to family, and land and hard work, their descendants have had a tremendous impact on their home region and in many fields of endeavor. But no doubt the best known in the Kentuckiana area is Joe Huber, who in less than three decades has parlayed a small fruit and vegetable farm into a complex of agriculture, entertainment, education, and good eats that draws crowds of both natives and tourists to the top of the knobs for a taste of old-fashioned farm life. How did he do it? Joe will tell you: By living the way his mother and father taught him, and their mothers and fathers taught them.
